Where Do People In China Look For Information?

You probably know Baidu dominates the China search market and Google is struggling to catch up. However, there are many people in China who don’t look for information with search engines.

Community sites such as discussion board, online forum, or BBS are very popular among Chinese youngsters not only in China but also foreign countries as well.  According to iResearch, computers and electronics are the top products people look for in community sites. 45.5% of them are interested in the products searched for; 40.1% have intention to purchase those products.

Interestingly, advertisement click through rates are as high as 45.2% in community sties.
